I attended a family wedding back in June in Kos, a stunning little Greek island. Can’t be bad right? It was the perfect chance to dress up and capture some outfit shots whilst in the midst of the beautiful Greek scenery and landscapes that this island has to offer.
When I was very kindly asked to come along to try an all you can eat style buffet at Blue Sakura Leeds I was to be honest a little dubious… Why? I just don’t like Sushi. Or so I thought!
Let’s start by saying, Blue Sakura is different. Different in a good way! It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet serving Japanese sushi and options from an asian style grill but the difference is you order everything from an ipad! Apparently this is very popular in Japan but completely new to Leeds! (and me).
Ok so let me start of by saying I have been lucky enough to visit a number of spas in the last few years. However, i’ve never experienced anywhere quite like this…
Rudding Park Spa soars high above all expectations, so much so that even the 5 star reviews I was reading through before I arrived (I have a habit of doing that) didn’t actually do it justice. This place is a pure delight. In short, it’s gorgeous, the staff are world-class, it’s ridiculously clean and the facilities they have are the best I’ve ever , EVER, experienced!
Early last week I was invited to something pretty special. This wasn’t the usual kind of event that I am usually asked to attend so I jumped at the chance. This one was different, hosted in one of the most beautiful locations – The National Railway Museum in York which is completely unique and unlike anywhere you will ever see.
This reason this event was hosted here was because there was a true enigma in town. A man who is a masterpiece within his own field. A brave man who has travelled on trains in China as “The Secret Photographer” for over 40 years. Wang Fuchun had arrived in the UK for the second time to open the Railway Museum’s newest exhibition – One Billion Journeys…
I have a little obsession these days with cropped trousers. Without realising I have created a large collection of them and they are becoming one of my staple outfits.
I just love the look of them. They are perfect for summer, easy to wear, comfortable and come in all sorts of patterns now, so surely you can never have too many? I’m going to showcase 5 ways I have styled out cropped trousers over the last few months;
“It’s easy being a Social Influencer”, ” I could do that”, “Anybody can just take a picture and upload it to instagram”, “Influencers are just freeloaders!”.
Ok, so some of that it true. Yes, you could do it yourself and yes anybody can take a photo and upload it to Instagram. The thing is, that isn’t the point, and it’s not why i’m writing this either. Time and time again I am hearing the same things from people who just don’t understand what it takes to create worthwhile content and the commitment that is needed to become a successful influencer. This isn’t really a how to guide, but it’s something I’d like to discuss honestly delving into some of what goes on behind the camera.
Now…I know a lot about my home city (or at least I think I do) and I have eaten in some beautiful places. But this place seemed to divert under my radar. It’s a place I have heard mentioned numerous times but for whatever reason never actually had the chance to try. Anyway, welcome to Stockdale’s Of Yorkshire, a restaurant where hand’s down they delivered the best steak I’ve ever eaten… like literally, I ate every single bit of it.
Honestly, I’d never heard of Twisted London before now, probably because I’m from up North in Leeds and that’s so far from London that this kind of cool menu doesn’t pop up as often as it should. However, Twisted London have teamed up with Uber-Eats meaning I can now get it anywhere, any time, even in my home city!
