Let’s not mess around here, Penhaligon’s have being established since 1870’s and honestly, I was really surprised I hadn’t tried them before. I know… all that time and I’ve missed out in what I think is one of the only few true perfumers left in the market.

With the weather warming up and Winter finally behind us I wanted to talk about a release Penhaligon’s had last summer. Their exquisitely bottled ‘Racquets’.

So much thought goes into the creation of these fragrances and each tell their own story. Racquets is no different; Inspired from British sport and a dandy spirit this new fragrance has a delicate balance between the summer zest of lemon and base notes of leather, similar to the leather wrapper around a racket at Wimbledon. ⁣

I fell in love with this fragrance last summer and I’ve been wearing it ever since. For some reason it just seems to feel and smell better with the warmer months. A fragrance created from the bright, complimentary scent of lemon inspired from the purity of the ‘all-white dress code’ at the Wimbledon tournament. Feeling the summer vibes yet? well this citrus scent is then expertly contrasted with the much more earthy and leathery base notes that reflect the elegance and refinement that is inseparable of British sport.⁣

I’m very new to the world of Penhaligon’s and my collection is slowly growing but it goes without saying these fragrances blew me away.
